I have a virus on my computer that will not let me get online. How do I remove it?

download avg anitivirus free edition on a friends computer that has a cd burner, and burn the program onto a cd. then put it in yours and install it, try to update it and then scan your computer

Run an antivirus
Buy an anti virus program.

If it gives you too much hassel, you can reboot your computer and re-install Windows (if you are using Windows) NOTE: This wipes all files you have on your computer, and you should first save your files in a location not on your computer.
But re-installing Windows (Rebooting) is the easiest way to remove a pest like that.
Easiest thing to do is reformat your computer.
if u have an antivirus installed in your pc - u need to do a few things:
turn off the system restore - Start>Programs>Accessories>sys... tools > system restore
go to Safe Mode - restart your system and press the F8 key repeately until u see a menu in black/white screen >choose safe mode
then u run your antivirus to check for virus - it will automatically remove the virus or it will prompt whe nvirus is detected.

Install and run the scan in safe mode.
Or u can go to the antivirus website such as Norton and read up on how to remove the virus manually. U need to know what virus has infected your system first. U may need to do quite a bit fixing such as registry editing and search and delete certain files, etc, with some virus if u want. Some may be quite easy to remove manually whereas some are not.
