can i delete these without messing up anything? they have no space taken up...just says remove
Answers:
There is a checkbox at the top of the Add/Remove Programs window titled "Show Updates." Uncheck the box and you should be all set!
You don't actually want to remove those. You just want to hide them.

No you should not remove these. They are added by microsoft to fix security exploits mostly. Only remove one if it is causing specific issues for you.
NO Do not mess with them. They are security updates for your operating system. You should click the option box to hide windows system components from the list.
Check if the "Show updates" checkbox is checked or not. If it is, uncheck it and most of the hotfixes and updates will be gone. This solution I think only applies to Windows XP computers, though.
Don't remove these components as these are the updates which are installed regularly on your computer to improve the performance of ur operating system. You can unchek to show update box on the top of the add and remove window. If u don't want to get updates u can turn off the automatic updates in Security Center in control panel. But it is not recommended.
