How can I connect my external USB harddrive to my WLAN?

You can share the hard drive and make it available on your local lan. Connect it to your pc and it will be assigned a drive letter, like "E". The link below is from Microsoft Technet and describes how to share a drive. It talks about sharing folders, but it's done the same way.
