microsoft internet explorer?
every once in a while internet explorer says not responding.and knocks me off line.any suggestions on how to fix this?thanks for the info

IE used to do that to me, and maybe it still would, I dunno. I just downloaded firefox, and it didn't do that. If you want to try it, go to getfirefox.com

Get DSL.
First you need to determine if the problem is on your computer or with your internet service provider. you can receive this message if you get intermittant service interuptions. A quick drop in service at the time it is loading a webpage will cause these types of error messages, especially if you are able to close the browser and then get back on again.
i get the same thing and i have dsl.its a glith and dont think we can do any thing.
Wow...Alot of places to start. I would say you should use windows update and see if you are running the newest stuff. If not, do it. If you are try re installing the dial-up software. Apart from that, it really could be anything. Scan for viruses and spyware. Really, it could be anything. Sorry!
