I keep getting a message virtual memory too low. How do I find and stop programs that I'm not using ?
Answers:
you'll just need to reset your virutal memory..
very very simple :)
lets go to the start button at the lower left hand of your screen
then goto your "control panel"
now find and click "system"
now click the "Advanced tab"
under "Performance" click "Settings"
again click "Advanced"
Under "Virtual memory" click "Change"
if you have multiple hard disks just follow these steps more then once....
Highlight your Hard Disk or Drive (C:\ or another)
click "System Managed" then click "Set"
This will prompt you to re-start your computer, just restart
There you go,
Windows needs the paging file always, even if you have 4GB windows XP pro is desgined to allocate stuff to the paginf file to increase performance. You should never turn your paging file off
hope this helped

Press Ctrl-Alt-Del and then select Task Manager. The Processes tab will show all running processes
It could be that you have acquired some spyware from the internet. If you are not using anti-virus/spyware software then you should get some. Run a scan to see if your computer is infected.
