YOU DON'T! You don't get to add stuff like that to a laptop. If you want better graphics, you have to buy a new laptop.

now, if your laptop is using shared memory for video, you can allocate more of your ram to the video bus sometimes, but if you're trying (for example) to run a high-end game, you're only option is to buy a new laptop designed for gaming.

well, if your laptop is rather thick, there is a way to do it, but extremely risky.
This is an it depends type question.
You first need check to see if the graphics chip is upgradeable. You can find that out on laptop manufacturer's website. In some cases they are soldered on the circuit board in some cases they are in a socket. So, if in a socket it might be possible to replace it.
A second thing that you did not mention is how much RAM the laptop has? I am assuming this is for gaming, so depending upon the games you play more RAM might make a difference. I just upgraded our 3 year old Dell desktop at home for my 12 year old son to 2GB, now all his games play. I also upgraded the graphics chip.
You can find out the RAM requirements by going the the game manufacturers website and see what they state are the Systems Requirement. You also need to check out the laptops specifations to figure out how much and what type RAM can be added.
Very few laptops has option to upgrade graphic card. Othervise it can (if any) be upgraded only by changing whole mainboard. If you go for it - consider option of buying a brand new laptop instead.
