4 DDR SDRAM slots one full with 256RAM, do all the slots have to be 256, or can I add one 256 and two 512RAM?
Answers:
the only problem with adding more Ram is if you mix the speed then all of the DDR will run at the speed of the slowest one, Capacity will not make any difference if you mix them.

It's up to your motherboard. But usually there isn't any problem for installing RAM with different size. I myself have a 256DDR and a 512DDR RAM slot on my computer.
It will be fine. I have 2 512's and 1 1gb and a 256 stick and their fine. Make sure they all have the same bus speeds otherwise there might be some trouble
First check the motherboard manual about RAM specification you may use all 256 MB RAM module or one 256 MB RAM or two 256 MBRAM or three 256 + one 512 MB RAM but all the RAM modules must be of same frequency.
